The mean temperatures show a similar pattern as maximum and minimum temperatures with a relatively uniform distribution during the non stratified season and strong differences during the stratified season, with the sheltered areas being the warmest and the Outer Harbour connected to the lake being the coldest.
However, the interesting part is the bottom row where the hourly temperature rates are represented:
● Toronto Island shelf exhibits the highest rates (this can be explained by the enhanced effect of the upwelling events in the immediate proximity of the steep submerged escarpment just outside the Tommy Thompson Park)
● In the Toronto Marina, which could attributed to the high boat traffic during the warm season.
